TANZANIAN JOURNALISTS SHOULD SERVE THE PUBLIC AND NOT A FEW PEOPLE

             The Tanzanian journalists have been required to write an objective stories in order to avoid risking their lives and misreporting the public.


         Speaking to journalists, MRS. ROSE NGUNAMANGA MWALONGO, during the panel discussion at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication said Tanzanian journalists should report the credible story.

     She said the journalist who has a personal interest of a source becomes hard for him to report credible story before the public out from his interests.
 
         She added that the journalist poor understanding of Cardinal codes of the reporters have contributed for writing stories containing controversy for lack of truth, equity, security and perfection in the public.
   
    "Whatever you do, write and report should be in the best interest for the public and minor group since we are not here to Advertise for people but we are here to serve the public", she insisted.
        
                   Either, she said the journalists should appreciate their work to serve the public and not to serve a few people since the information is public property and not the property of the few people.

 
                 On other hand, MR. CHRISTOSTONE RWEMAMU, has insisted that the media should deny to be purchased by the few people with money and government as do so they break the rights of people to get information.


           He has wanted the journalist to report balanced stories in order to avoid endangering themselves with the source.
